"The Bathers" Art Collection Review By RKHenry

The “Two Bathers” is also another perfect example of Alexey Bazanov spot on, artistic achievement. Alexey’s eye for color can be noted in her soft, peach glisten lips. Again, he uses his shadows to infuse the overall structuring of this nudist’s upper body. The natural, realness of her bust-line, is in exact proportion to the rest of her body. Standing next to her in a dark, hunter green sheet is the portrait’s companion. Whose sole responsibility it seems, is too align her slightly deeper blush flesh-tone body to the other nudist’s dainty body.
Alexey Bazanov
Alexey Bazanov was born in 1959, Saratov, Russia. He would graduate from the Saratov Art College in 1978. He continued his artistic academics and in 1989 he earned a degree from the prestigious Academy of Arts Institute, located in Leningrad once St. Petersburg, Russia. Alexey’s art has an unique coarse structuring, mixed in with dark and soft contrasts. While he is not known for large pieces, but rather, the realistic edge he administrates in his collections, makes his personal style sought after. In both of these portraits one can witness, the softness of his brush strokes, depicting the delicacy of human eroticism.
As we stare further into the heart of his portraits, the tenderness envelopes the individual characteristic of the featured women. In the above portrait, known as “Big Bathers”, the woman in the red turban is pregnant. However, it is the way that Alexey dilutes her flesh tone to that of a pale, freckled, red headed person makes this a remarkable piece. She is the center piece to this marvelous rendition.
