The Mayan Calendar

Great Article by RKHenry via HubPages.com about linking science and religion.

Exploring the Options

From what I been able to discover, the ancient alien/astronaut theory is growing in popularity. Could it be that life has become less reckless, and people are studying facts and theories more carefully? Besides all that, (simply) could there be life in the stars? In the complex makings of religion, could it be that God is really an alien, and we are just one gigantic science project? In the reality of my own personal complexities, it is easier for me to consider that remote possibly. However, why is so difficult for others to explore?

Perfect Alignment

After watching the “Ancient Aliens” documentary, originally produced by the History Channel Spring, ’09. The two hour special featured programming, tactical the theories that life on earth began in outer space. In it’s investigation it uncovered a theory that some people are more likely to believe, concerning major monuments like the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Mayan Ruins, Stonehenge and Easter Island being the remains of an ancient alien visitation. Through out this program the documentary explored the evidence as to abilities of ancient man. In addition, the “Ancient Aliens” program challenged the intellect of ancient man and their personal knowledge of the solar system, and mathematics. These unexplainable capabilities of making perfectly align True North and South super structures, after being brought to the forefront was also examined. They explored the options that the Ancient Egyptians used electricity, and showed evidence of the original Baghdad Battery. While millions here on earth accept the theory that Ancient Astronauts visited earth thousands of years ago. Why is it so impossible to consider that they too then might be God?

  • UFOs and alien races – a personal viewpoint
The subject, as I have already pointed out is such a vast one, and there is so much information and disinformation that all you can do really is look at as much as you can and make your own decisions about its truth or falsity. For me though…
  • Aliens Built the Statues on Easter Island!
Nearly everyone with an interest in the ancient world has seen the Easter Island moai, those mysterious megalithic statues hundreds of them, which resemble haughty, inscrutable men, gazing down upon…

Arrest the Pope

October 4th, 2010 by jgrimes

Recently, I wrote this article for my HubPages.com site, only to have the  Google Ads removed, moments after I published the hub.   The ads were turned off by one of their moderators, who stated in an email to me that the reason the ads were turned off, is because the hub subject matter is “too sensitive.”   What I found interesting though, and highly hypocritical of Hubpages.com, is that there are currently over 82 hubs that contain dialog about child sex abuse, the Catholic church, and the Catholic church’s priests responsibility in committing these horrible acts of abuse.  Even more curious was the fact that most of the 82 hubs, are about arresting these priests, and even suing the Catholic church, for pain and suffering.  Even better- there is a wide variety of the stereotypical, “how to” hubs on coping and surviving.  All which still have their ads turned on, so my question was and still is, “What’s the deal?”
I don’t know many parents, who would want their children reading a HubPages hub first of all, and especially one about kids being raped.
Read the article, and tell me what you think.

Arrest the Pope?

By IntimatEvolution

Is this what it has boiled down too...., arresting the pope?
Is this what it has boiled down too…., arresting the pope?

The other day while scanning unique profile accounts at Facebook.com, I discovered a remarkable profile titled Arrest the Pope.

“Arrest the pope?”, I said to myself.

“Are you freak’n kidding me?  Now there’s an idea, but, why now!”

As I tried holding back the laughter, I immediately went searching for information on Google.com. Only to find out that I was a day late and a dollar short- as the old saying goes. However, I think you will still find the story to be quite intriguing, and the possibilities priceless. Arrest the Pope…?, hm…. okay- maybe we all should share the idea, and listen to what other people have to say about it.

I have to tell you that I was absolutely stunned, when I accidentally unearthed this popular story.  The story I am referring too, centers around a wild-eyed Englishman, who had personal aspirations of finding a human rights lawyer, who would be willing to listen to his case against the Pope. To my surprise, it seemed rather apparent that the plan of Richard Dawkin’s, had been in the works for quite sometime. Dawkin first came out publicly, with his intentions against the pope, sometime in April, 2010.

From what I can gather, Richard Dawkin allegedly wanted to have Pope Benedict XVI arrested, during the pope’s scheduled state visit to Great Britain.  Which occurred on  September 18th, 2010. The original Sunday Times, online newspaper article, was first published April 11, 2010. Article author Marc Home, brilliantly advises his viewing audience of how Richard Dawkin, wanted to charge the Pope for crimes against humanity.

My response was, “Crimes against humanity? What on earth could he be talking about?”, as you can tell, at first I was a little floored by his publicized intentions.  To me, the Pope is a holy man, but then again, he is still just a man.

The article goes onto to say that the atheist Dawkin, teams up with fellow atheist and author Christopher Hitchens, to make their case against the Pope. The main charges facing the Pope, would be stemming from his apparent involvement, in the blatant cover-up attempt that was made by the church earlier in 2008, 2009 and 2010, and in recent years before that, over concerned allegations of child sex abuse by clergymen, representing the Catholic Church.  Allegations I’ll add, which I personally think could have inadvertently lead to the arrests of thousands of other leading Catholic members, with any ounce of implied authority.  Essentially placing, Pope Benedict XVI at the top of that list.  However, that’s just my humble opinion.  What the actual ramifications if such an event had occurred, I haven’t a clue.  Mass hysteria and chaos are just two of the things that could happen, which came into my mind.

Marc Home actual went on to tell the public that Dawkins and Hitchens, were hoping to use the same legal “principles” used to arrest the late Augusto Pinochet, the Chilean dictator, when he arrived in Britain in 1998. I could only imagine the legal ramifications if this legal loop-hole was exploited at the pope’s expense. Wow, what a public nightmare that would have been. Although, I’m not saying doing nothing is a good idea either, but come on here people, arrest the Pope?  A man who billions of people adore, would be a risky move, and one apparently England thought was too risky as well.

I wanted to bring this article to light for many reasons.  I must admit that some of reasonings for writing this, are quite personal for their obvious, highly-confrontational, valued, recourse.  I mean, it doesn’t get better than this people.  If you want a reason or need a justification to hate God, despise the Catholic Church, or protest religion all together as harmful,  it simply doesn’t get better than this mayhem.  On the other hand, if you were needing a platform to use against Atheists, and/or whack-a-doodles in certain religious forums, well here it is.  The argument cuts both ways.

To my dismay- this isn’t the first time that a Pope has found himself in the forefront of controversy.  Matter of fact, it is not even the first time a Pope has faced possible police arrest, for alleged criminal activity.  One of the most controversial persons to have ever lived, was none other than Pope Alexander VI.  Better known to some as Rodrigo Borgia, whose family’s seedy past landed them a top spot, on the lucrative Showtime network in 2011. Whereas Borgia was nothing more than a murderous white collar criminal,  Pope Benedict XVI’s only crime has been his own idiotic approach to the twenty first century.   I just not so sure, if that type of crime, is a punishable offense.

Some might say that child abuse, has been a mainstay in the church since its inception. What angers me the most is that people are just now getting upset by it. Where were our ancestors principles of merit, a hundred of years ago? Why wasn’t a Pope arrested then? Why only now is this irreversible behavior, now being targeted, counseled on, and openly disgusted among reasonable people? More importantly though, why is the focus only zeroed in on the Catholic church? More children are sexually abuse by their mother and fathers, or someone they most likely know; than there are catholic school age kids. Why haven’t men like Richard Dawkin, been leading a massive campaign like this one,  against any sexual abuse period? Why only now are people finally taking their buried heads out of the sand?

Because it was a priest(s)? Please……., child abuse is child abuse. Rape is rape and God has nothing to do with it.

If you’re going to stand for something, then by GOD, take a stand for it.

Sure all the hoopla over the latest scandals, will most likely help curved sexual abuse by priest for the next decade; but, you are a bigger fool than I, if you think it has curbed it for good. Men have the basic instinct to breed. It a lustful, primal instinct, which people believe God himself created.  My opinion however, is one that if God didn’t want priest to have sex, don’t you think he would have done something about that years ago?  Furthermore, how can people actually expect nuns and priests, to live their lives without the magical feel of  love, gained from having  sexual intercourse.  It’s absurd, and I feel it borders along the lines of criminal, suppressive, activity against human nature, and essentially a crime against God.  If God didn’t want people having sex, who would have invented different “sex” organs.
