World Peace
Do you feel helpless, like I do at times? Do you feel helpless when you see rubble in the Middle East and dead bodies everywhere? Or, do you feel helpless when American sons and daughters return home missing limbs, mentally inflicted, deserted or worse?
Well I do…., especially when I see body bags of lifeless American children. It makes me feel completely helpless. How can one person make a difference? Don’t ask me- it is time for you to intimately ask your inner self.
Many people have closed their ears and have stopped listening. In the hope of peace let us try to understand each other and our differences. For the sake of the children living in this world, we need to find the time to stop and find a common denominator that could bind us together. The different voices, that make up this world, need to have a say. Most importantly; people should be given the opportunity to have a unified chance at understanding. What is the basic root problem, that keeps the citizens of the world divided? The lack of knowledge and understanding is the cause that separates one from another. We have simply stopped listening. Israel stopped communicating and Palestine took too long to speak. The root of the dilemma is the lack of history, spiritual understanding, compassion and love. Could religion be the key ingredient to communication? I think so. For me, religion definitely plays a dramatic, integral part to finding peace on earth. As brothers and sisters of the earth, those silenced voices need to be heard. If everyone individual would respect the history of a tribe, township, city, country or nation; we could then show a sincere understanding and respect for the people who occupy that region. Fundamental understanding should be a binding governorship over the different lands in which we all live in. I believe that religion plays a dual role in acquiring this type of relationship between the peoples. Why do we choose to be apart of a belief system? After all- isn’t religion just another way of communicating a lifestyle. Persons given the freedom of choice need to appreciate that freedom- above any other. Often, individuals living in a country without complex restrictions concerning religion, forget that over a million people are bound to the chains of tyranny. God gave people ‘free will’ to decide for themselves what religion would best fit their needs. Christianity, is not the perfect fit for everyone. Being Christ, God, Buddha, Allah-like, etc., enlighten, knowledgeable and compassionate are harmonious applications easily incorporated. Isn’t it high-time people starting taking personal inventory?
Communication is a vital piece of the earthly religious puzzle. Together we’ll leave behind our shadows of doubt. Only if it were that easy. But I say to you, “Are you tired of feeling and being helpless?” Then work with others to put the needed puzzle pieces back together. Mans influence on religious beliefs- created a fatal cloud to hover over the meaning in which religion arrange itself upon.
